Built by someone who lived the problem.
KanCAT is the CAT tool I wished existed when I was juggling five apps to finish a single translation project.
The Translation Project Management Problem I Lived Every Day
Five tools, one problem — KanCAT begins
I'm Abdukarim Raximov. I've spent eight years in the translation industry — as a translator, editor, LQA reviewer, and chief editor. I'm also a PMP-certified project manager. I've been in the trenches and I know what works. And after all that, every project still started the same way: open the desktop CAT tool, open the spreadsheet, open the email thread, open the invoicing app, open the project tracker. Five tools. Five places for things to go wrong. I built KanCAT in November 2025 because I was tired of it. Not as a business idea — as a fix for my own workflow.
Translation project management + invoicing — others asked in
Once KanCAT had a CAT editor, translation memory, translation project management with Kanban boards, and translation invoicing built in, something unexpected happened. Other freelance translators who saw it wanted access. Translation agencies asked if there was a team mode. The feedback was the same everywhere: "I have the exact same problem." We kept shipping.
Public launch — full translation management software
KanCAT is now a full translation management software platform. It is cloud-based with a free tier for the freelance translator and team features for the translation agency. We are in public launch now. Not because it is perfect, but because it already solves real problems for real people. Here we are, already kicking.
Mission
One Tool. The Whole Job.
"Translation technology should get out of your way — so you can focus on the words."
Every freelance translator and every translation agency deserves one platform that handles the CAT editor, translation memory, project management, and invoicing — without switching apps mid-project. That is what we built.
Values
What We Believe
- Your data is yours.
- KanCAT supports full TMX and XLIFF export on Starter and above. You own your linguistic assets — your translation memory, your glossaries, your XLIFF files. If you ever decide to leave, you take everything with you. See export options →
- Pricing should be transparent.
- Every tier — from Free to Enterprise — is publicly listed with exact feature limits. We don't make you book a sales call to find out what something costs. Standard plans are self-serve. View all pricing →
- Tools should fit your workflow, not the other way around.
- Customizable Kanban columns, workflow presets, and bilingual import options exist because no two translators or agencies work the same way. We build the flexibility in and let you configure the rest. Explore features →
